Sunshine Productions Main Page
Welcome to Sunshine Productions website! I’m Sunshine (why the name?) and created this site to help and inspire others!
The main section documents our many adventures camping, snowshoeing and canoeing over the years via trip reports. Each trip report documents (with photos, videos and text) the adventure we had, stories, successes and failures. They can help in planning a trip, or if you just want to live vicariously through them. Feel free to browse the list of trip reports to read the reports that interest you (and those I haven’t documented yet). If you are interested in a particular location you can take a look at the following page. Hopefully you get inspired to head out there as well! If you have any questions please comment or ask directly!
I have been playing hockey for almost 30 years now (mostly as a goalie), many years competitively and used to run a website called the hockey resource. It had a bunch of articles and drills on hockey in general but with some focus on goalies. I decided to put them on here as reference since some of it could be real helpful to those interested! The list of goalie drills can be accessed here, The Beginner’s corner has info about the game, rules etc. Finally there is a section with info on hockey equipment including a few buyers guides.
We have a couple side articles on home automation and and how to efficiently plow snow from your driveway and shovel it clean. I also put up a few notes I took while reading some management/leadership books in case you wanted to know if its worthwhile reading them.
Feel free to comment on the articles, ask questions or send some requests, we have social media accounts as well (instagram, YouTube, Facebook, twitter) but this is all done on off-time.
Here are our latest posts:

Goalie Drill – Static Shot Redirect – Hockey Resource
This simple shot redirection goalie drill is extremely helpful for ice hockey goaltenders to manage rebound control. The drill helps the goaltender use correct technique and timing in order to redirect shots into the corners rather than back in the crease or on an opponent’s stick. To set-up the drill, the goaltender starts at the…

Goalie Drill – Rebound Clearing – Hockey Resource
This goalie drill focuses on clearing pucks out of the crease/zone using their stick after a bad rebound or when the puck is near the goaltender. It can also be used to increase the goalie’s endurance, mobility and puck handling skills. Although this drill is useful for more than just puck clearing, if the goaltender…

Goalie Drill – Puck Clearing – Hockey Resource
This drill will help the goalie improve his puck handling and judgement skills in situations where he must clear the puck out of the zone. Place multiple pucks in the zone. The goalie starts in his net and must skate as fast as possible and shoot the puck out of the zone (either directly or…

Goalie Drill – Skating in the Circle – Hockey Resource
This drill is aimed at improving goaltender proficiency with telescoping (forward and backward) and shuffling. The drill can also be modified to practise the hybrid slide and t-pushes. The goalie starts from the bottom of the circle and telescopes to the top of the circle. He then telescopes backwards to the face-off dot and stops.…

Circles Skating Drill – Hockey Resource
This drill is designed to practice turning, cross-overs and acceleration. The drill is most effective on weak to moderate skaters as the turn radius is too large to be effective for good skaters. To keep the drill effective for good skaters, the circle radius should be reduced for stronger skaters by using cones. This skating…

Goalie Skating Drill – The Triangle – Hockey Resource
This warmup drill is good to practice the T-push and shuffle. It can also be modified to practice the hybrid slide. This drill is a very good way to practice the skating basics before attempting more advanced drills. The goaltender starts from the post and T-pushes or shuffles to the top of the crease. He…

Goalie Skating Drill – The Box – Hockey Resource
This is one of the first drills that a goaltender should learn. It is a great warmup drill for goaltenders and can even be done during play stoppages to keep focused. It can also be used to practice skating (T-push and shuffle) and the hybrid slide. The goaltender starts on one of the posts and…

Goalie Skating Drill – Across the Crease – Hockey Resource
This goalie skating drill can be used as a warmup or to strengthen skating skills (T-push mobility technique). It also practices stopping with the correct leg when moving across the crease. For this drill, the goaltender starts on one of the posts. They then T-pushes diagonally to the opposite corner of the crease (1 explosive…

The Horseshoe drill – Hockey Resource
This drill is very simple and most often used pre-game to warm up the players and goaltender. It features some skating, passing and shooting. Players are evenly divided in both corners at one end of the ice surface. A player starts from his corner and skates around the faceoff circle located just outside the blue…
