Sunshine Productions Main Page
Welcome to Sunshine Productions website! I’m Sunshine (why the name?) and created this site to help and inspire others!
The main section documents our many adventures camping, snowshoeing and canoeing over the years via trip reports. Each trip report documents (with photos, videos and text) the adventure we had, stories, successes and failures. They can help in planning a trip, or if you just want to live vicariously through them. Feel free to browse the list of trip reports to read the reports that interest you (and those I haven’t documented yet). If you are interested in a particular location you can take a look at the following page. Hopefully you get inspired to head out there as well! If you have any questions please comment or ask directly!
I have been playing hockey for almost 30 years now (mostly as a goalie), many years competitively and used to run a website called the hockey resource. It had a bunch of articles and drills on hockey in general but with some focus on goalies. I decided to put them on here as reference since some of it could be real helpful to those interested! The list of goalie drills can be accessed here, The Beginner’s corner has info about the game, rules etc. Finally there is a section with info on hockey equipment including a few buyers guides.
We have a couple side articles on home automation and and how to efficiently plow snow from your driveway and shovel it clean. I also put up a few notes I took while reading some management/leadership books in case you wanted to know if its worthwhile reading them.
Feel free to comment on the articles, ask questions or send some requests, we have social media accounts as well (instagram, YouTube, Facebook, twitter) but this is all done on off-time.
Here are our latest posts:

Goalie Drill – One Timer – Hockey Resource
This drill helps goaltenders practice stopping one-timers with the pass coming from the corner of the defensive zone. A shooter starts in the corner with a puck, the goaltender is alongside his post. A shooter placed on the opposite side of the ice moves around (so the goaltender does not know where he is positionned).…

Goalie Drill – Stopping the puck behind the net – Hockey Resource
This drill will help goaltenders stop a puck that has been dumped in the zone along the boards. It also practises the case where the opposing team regains control of the puck when the goaltender is out of position. The goaltender starts facing a shooter that is along the boards near the blue line. The…

Goalie Drill – Shuffle Shot Breakaway – Hockey Resource
In this drill, the goalie practises the basics, stopping shots, shuffling, t-pushes and facing breakaways. The goalie starts at one of his posts and t-pushes out to face a shot from the first shooter. He then follows the shooter that skates across the slot (X3) by shuffling. When the goaltender gets to the second shooter…

Battle Scars – Bent Goalie Cage – Hockey Resource
A few Battle scars from my hockey game last night. One strong slapshot means one bent cage! 145$ for a new cage, but at least I’m intact! A few more pictures of the cage once it was removed: Comparing the Bent one with a new one: Update: If you are interested how it was replaced…

Goalie Drill – The Desperation save – Hockey Resource
This drill is intended to practice both the hybrid slide and force the goalie to make a desperate save. Although such a save does not occur often in games it can mean the difference between winning or losing the game. Position three pucks evenly spaced around the crease. The goalie is lines up with the…

Goalie Drill – Butterfly slide – Hockey Resource
This drill is designed to practise the butterfly slide by using one-timers. It is similar to what a goaltender might encounter in a game situation. The goaltender starts facing X1 which has the puck. X1 the passes the puck to X2 or X3 which shoots a one-timer. The goaltender must butterfly slide in order to make the save. Note:…

Goalie Drill – Butterfly slide and Hybrid slide – Hockey Resource
This drill is designed to practice both the butterfly slide and the hybrid slide. The goaltender starts facing X1. X1 passes the puck to X2 which immediately passes it to X3 for a one-timer. The goaltender must butterfly slide to X2 and then hybrid slide to X3 and make the save. The drill should be run in the reverse direction…

Goalie Drill – One timer and butterfly slide – Hockey Resource
This drill is designed to practise one-timers and butterfly slides. This simulates a one-timer followed by a rebound in a game situation. The goalie starts on one of his posts. The player in the corner then passes to X1 which takes a one-timer (high shot). The goaltender must push out from the post to make the…

Goalie Drill – Warmup – All Players shoot – Hockey Resource
This is a good warmup drill for practises or games. It consists of multiple rapid shots being fired towards the goaltender with some movement. (A variation on this drill that is a bit more intense is outlined below) Have all the players line up near the blue line. Each player will take a turn to…

Goalie Drill – Hybrid Slide & Stopping puck behind net – Hockey Resource
This drill is designed for goaltenders to practice their hybrid slide as well as stopping the puck behind the net. The goalie starts from one post and pushes across to stop the puck shot by X1. He then hybrid slides to stop the shots of X2 and X3. X4 will then shoot a puck around the boards…
